HALO TREATMENT IN NYC
SKIN TREATMENT IN NEW YORK CITY
The effects that sun damage and aging inflict on a person are more than just skin-deep. These skin concerns, such as hyperpigmentation, uneven texture, large pores, and acne scars, can negatively impact a person’s self-confidence. Living with these skin discolorations can make you look older than you want. While repairing skin damage may seem intimidating and perhaps a little scary, it doesn’t have to be. Many non-surgical cosmetic treatments are available to address and even correct skin imperfections, and one of the most effective treatments is the innovative Halo™ laser treatment. At New Look New Life, we are proud to offer the Halo™ laser treatment in New York and Westchester to help our patients rejuvenate their skin and let their true, youthful selves shine through.
What Are the Benefits of Halo™ Laser Treatment?
In addition to the face, the Halo™ laser treatment can address skin issues on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and legs. Halo™ relies on your body’s healing process to give you glowing, youthful skin and can be used to address a number of cosmetic concerns.
The versatile nature of Halo™ laser treatment makes it an effective treatment for treating problems such as:
-
Sun damage
-
Pigmentation issues (hyperpigmentation)
-
Scars
-
Age spots
-
Wrinkles and fine lines
-
Uneven pores
-
Uneven skin tone and skin texture
Am I a Candidate for Halo™ Laser Treatment?
The Halo™ laser treatment can be used on all skin types. As with any cosmetic procedure or treatment, your consultation is the first and most important step to achieving clear skin. At your consultation, we will evaluate your condition to determine if Halo™ is appropriate for you.
Ideal candidates for the Halo™ laser treatment are women and men who are frustrated with skin damage and other skin blemishes, are in good health, and have realistic expectations for their results.
How Is the Halo™ Laser Treatment Performed?
Halo™ uses a dual-wavelength process that includes a cooling system to ensure complete comfort throughout the treatment. One wavelength will target the outer layer (epidermis) and help combat pigmentations and coloration of the skin. The second wavelength goes much
deeper to reverse the damage below the skin. Combining these two wavelengths gives our patients at New Look New Life skin results that they are proud to show off.
Before your procedure, a cooling system is released to cool the topmost layer of skin, and a numbing cream is administered to ensure you feel comfortable and confident throughout your Halo™ procedure.
First, the pulsed light will be administered, followed by the heating light. The light energy will be directed at the skin to address discoloration and other skin concerns while stimulating the production of collagen and elastin to help you achieve tighter and more blemish-free skin that you can feel proud of.
Depending on your target area, your procedure will last between 30 to 60 minutes.
How Long Is Halo™ Recovery?
After your Halo™ treatment, your treated skin will feel hot, as though it is sunburned. You can also expect some redness, tightness, and inflammation in the treated skin. Though the exact recovery period varies with every patient, most women and men require four to seven days of downtime.
The redness and inflammation will dissipate during this time, and the treated skin will begin to shed. It is important that you do not scratch your skin, and make sure that you wear sunscreen when outside to protect your new and healthy skin.
When Will I See My Halo™ Treatment Results?
You will see results immediately after your treatment; however, because of the nature of Halo™, you will not see your final results for several weeks.
Once your final results are settled, you can expect smoother, softer, more youthful skin that you’ll be excited to show off.
Can I combine my Halo™ laser treatment with other procedures?
Many patients combine their Halo™ treatment with other surgical or non-surgical procedures to achieve an even more complete transformation. Some procedures that Halo™ laser treatments can be combined with include:
How many treatment sessions will I need?
Your recommended number of treatment sessions depends on the extent of correction needed. While you can achieve noticeable results after only one treatment, most patients require two to six sessions to achieve optimal results. At your consultation, your skin care provider will create a treatment plan specific to you and your aesthetic goals.
How long will my Halo™ results last?
Halo™ laser treatment results are not permanent; however, by continuing to have Halo™ laser treatments, you can ensure that you continue to look as youthful and rejuvenated as you desire for years to come.
It is recommended that you have maintenance treatments every six to 18 months. A healthy lifestyle and a good skin care routine can prolong your results.
